Wake Up Dead Man Teaser and Release Date: “A man gives a sermon. He then, in plain sight of everyone, walks into a sealed concrete box. And 30 seconds later, that man is lying dead,” private detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) says, summarising the mysterious death of Msgr Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin). While some have already made considerable efforts to dress the demise as a “miracle”, Blanc is clear that it’s a murder. The only people he has by his side, however, are Rev Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor) and local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis). Yet, he is determined to uncover what the “flock of wicked wolves” in the locality is hiding.

Although it’s apparent by now that there’s no case Benoit Blanc can’t crack, this time things will be even tougher for him, as this is touted as his “most dangerous case yet”. Particularly with the sword of people’s faith hanging over his head, Blanc must tread carefully as he investigates this “impossible crime”. Otherwise, he risks facing the wrath of the believers. As director Rian Johnson returns with the third installment of his highly successful Knives Out film series, Wake Up Dead Man, the hype is already high. The latest teaser, unveiled by the makers on Monday, offering glimpses into the world of the upcoming film, has only heightened fans’ excitement.

“When young priest Jud Duplenticy is sent to assist charismatic firebrand Monsignor Jefferson Wicks, it’s clear that all is not well in the pews. Wicks’ modest-but-devoted flock includes devout church lady Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), circumspect groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), tightly-wound lawyer Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), best-selling author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott) and concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny). After a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic,” Wake Up Dead Man’s logline reads.
