The Conjuring Last Rites Box Office Collection Day 2: The Conjuring: Last Rites has smashed expectations with a massive opening. The fourth chapter in the franchise earned $34.5 million on Friday, including a record $8.5 million in previews, surpassing the 2018 spin-off The Nun ($22 million). Early Saturday estimates suggest the film could hit $75–80 million for the opening weekend.

The Conjuring: Last Rites continues Warner Bros’ winning streak, giving them seven straight releases with opening weekend collections above $40 million, a milestone no other Hollywood studio has managed to hit.

Globally, The Conjuring: Last Rites is also showing an uptick in interest. On Friday, the Michael Chaves directorial pulled in $47.3 million from over 60 markets. The movie is currently on its way to a global opening of $165–170 million against a $55 million production budget. If it crosses the $92.2 million overseas mark, it will surpass It: Chapter Two ($92.5 million) to become the highest foreign debut for a New Line release. A $170 million global debut would make it Hollywood’s third-biggest horror opening ever, behind only the two It films.

The Conjuring: Last Rites is produced by The Safran Company, Atomic Monster Productions, and New Line Cinema, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie stars Vera Farmiga, Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, and Patrick Wilson in pivotal toles.

With a two-day net collection of Rs 34.8 crore, The Conjuring: Last Rites now ranks as the seventh highest-grossing Hollywood horror in India, just behind Evil Dead Rise (Rs 36.50 crore). Achieving this in only two days is a rare feat for Hollywood horror in India. Meanwhile, Bollywood films are struggling to keep pace. Baaghi 4’s Saturday collections dropped to Rs 9 crore, and The Bengal Files failed to make an impact, earning just Rs 3.5 crore.
