The “Star Wars” sequel posted a rating of 495, the third best figure since Piedmont began its surveys.

It also had the best score among males with 553 rating while females’ interest level for the film was 383.

Other films that resonated strongly with audiences were “Hotel Transylvania 2” with 313 and Matt Damon-Ridley Scott’s sci-fi adventure, “The Martian” with 255 rating. James Bond film “Spectre” had 282 rating, better than its last instalment, “Skyfall”, which had 231.

On the lower end, fantasy epic “Pan” scored 205, biopic “Steve Jobs” logged 162, while Bradley Cooper kitchen dramedy “Burnt” clocked in 144.
