Netflix on Thursday released the trailer for the final part of Wednesday’s second season. The Addams family are yet to finish the journey they began back in 2022, and this time around some different faces will have their hands on the reins of the story. The main cast are all returning, including Jenna Ortega, Luiz Guzman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, and Gwendoline Christie.

Following the events of the first part, Wednesday finds herself admitted to a hospital of sorts, where she encounters someone she definitely wasn’t expecting by her side, Principal Larissa Weems. The dazed teenager takes time to adjust to the fact that she is in fact not dead and is told by Weems that she is her new spirit guide. She was stranded at the school without her psychic powers and had to rely on her wit and sharp detective skills in order to solve the age-old murders that she had stumbled upon. With the help of her chaotic and crazy uncle Fester, Ortega did begin to solve the murder mystery and stumbled upon Lois, who wasn’t a person at all but an acronym for something dark and sinister.

As she catches up with reality and the fact that Weems is going to be inside of her brain all the time, she meets up with her friend Enid (Emma), and the two of them realise that Tyler (Hunter) is still out there and now without a master to control him. The trailer then shows the entire Addams family, who are still as determined and weird as ever. As they assemble together, Wednesday says, “We don’t solve anything in this family with words; we do it with deeds, most of them dirty.” An eerie voice-over reminds Wednesday about the urgency of the matter and tells her to hurry before she has nothing left to save.

The new season of Wednesday will be available for streaming on Netflix from September 3.
