Fans of beloved sitcoms like Modern Family and Breaking Bad, as well as acclaimed films such as The Devil Wears Prada and The Lord of the Rings, were thrilled as the stars from these iconic projects reunited at the 2024 SAG Awards. While the actors got together to present various awards, they brought back a flood of memories for their fans.
The Breaking Bad stars, including Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Jonathan Banks, Bob Odenkirk, Dean Norris, and RJ Mitte, gathered together to present the trophy for Best Drama Series ensemble to the cast of Succession at the 2024 SAG Awards. Breaking Bad had previously won the same award in the category 10 years earlier. The cast of the iconic show got involved in a playful banter on stage, leaving the audience in stitches and adding an extra dose of entertainment to the evening.
During a special reunion for The Devil Wears Prada at the SAG Awards, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt took the stage to present the nominees for Best Male Actor in a Comedy. Embracing their iconic roles from the film, Meryl, who played the role of Miranda Priestly, was handed her glasses and the envelope by Anne and Emily, who portrayed her devoted assistants in the film. Meryl humorously insisted that she is nothing like her character Miranda Priestly in real life. However, Anne and Emily disagreed, referring to them as “twins.”
Fans undoubtedly experienced a wave of nostalgia as the beloved cast of Modern Family – including Sofía Vergara, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Ed O’Neill, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson – reunited to announce the winner of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series at the SAG Awards. True to their characters, the cast members shared a playful banter and expressed admiration for Ryan Gosling.
Twenty years after the monumental success of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, the iconic duo of Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee, portrayed by Elijah Wood and Sean Astin respectively, graced the stage together once again at SAG Awards.
The 2024 SAG Awards aired on Sunday morning (IST) and celebrated the best acting talents of film and television.
