Director David Lynch will not helm the much-anticipated reboot of TV series “Twin Peaks”.
Lynch cited money issues as the reason behind his departure, reported Us magazine.
He wrote on twitter:
Fans of the show first got excited back in mid-January when star Kyle MacLachlan announced that he would be reprising his role as Special Agent Dale Cooper for the cult series’ 25th anniversary.
Twin Peaks’ third series was supposed to be comprised of nine episodes and premiere on Showtime in 2016. There has not been any word yet on whether Lynch’s exit will affect those plans.
