That year, Jessica was accused of racist behaviour by Canadian influencer Sasha Exeter, and the fallout was instant. She was dropped by brands, stepped away from TV, and went into full damage-control mode. Her husband, Ben Mulroney, then a well-known Canadian TV host, also quit his job to support her.

Insiders now say that Jessica’s fame, exposure, and the constant media glare blew the controversy out of proportion, something that might’ve faded quietly had she not been linked to Meghan. “If she could go back, a part of her wishes she was never in Meghan and Prince Harry’s 2018 wedding,” a source said. “While she enjoyed all the attention back then, that same exposure is what made the social media fallout explode, leading not just to the end of her friendship with Meghan, but also the breakdown of her marriage.” Jessica once claimed they were still close, even after the scandal, and called Meghan “kind.” But now, she reportedly sees that entire chapter of her as a “dark cloud.” They haven’t been seen together or mentioned each other online since 2021.

Since then, the stylist has only made headlines for her cryptic Instagram posts nd quiet nods to her struggles. In 2023, she called out people who were “looking for a way to be against” her. In earlier posts, she admitted she’d “lost friends” after the scandal. Jessica and Ben have now decided to end their 16-year marriage. The couple, who share three kids, daughter Ivy and twin sons Brian and John, are heading for divorce. Page Six reported they separated a while ago, and Jessica was recently spotted at a wedding in Toronto where she reportedly told guests she felt “sad, but also relieved” to finally have some clarity.

Meghan and Jessica’s friendship began on the sets of Suits in Toronto, and the duo instantly clicked over their shared choices in fashion, fitness, and career approaches. Jessica was reportedly also the one behind Meghan’s wedding dress choice that her character, Rachel Zane, wore in the legal drama. The stylist was later spotted at the Sussexes’ wedding as one of the prominent guests, and her twins took on the role of the page boys.
