Alia Bhatt talks about her character in Udta Punjab which is unlike anything that she has played till date.

Alia Bhatt’s character in Udta Punjab is unlike anything that she has played till date. For starters, it’s a completely de-glammed avatar and one also sees the talented actress mouthing expletives, a first for her.

When asked if as an actor she was comfortable abusing on screen, Alia said, “I am comfortable doing what fits in my character.”

Dissociating her personal self from the character she portrayed on screen in the film, Alia reasoned, “If the character is angry or upset or distraught , Alia doesn’t have anything to do with it. It is the character. So when I am doing anything whether it is dancing crying or abusing or jumping or anything, I am doing it as the character. I may not necessarily feeling like that at that time but I am doing it because that is the way it is in the film, in the script.”
