Actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Kapoor make for one of the most adorable couples in Bollywood. The two often shower love on each other through social media but there was a time when Mira didn’t want Shahid to stay at home and asked him to go and live in a hotel.
Shahid had once revealed in an interview with actor Neha Dhupia how during the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2018 film Padmaavat, Mira told him, “You cannot stay at home anymore, you have to go live in a hotel, we can’t deal with this.” However, Mira had an explanation.
On Dhupia’s talk show Vogue BFFs, Mira explained that Shahid had long night shifts during Padmaavat shoot. “He was in a completely different time zone,” she told Dhupia. Mira revealed that Shahid would come home at 8 am and would sleep till 2 in the afternoon. So, she didn’t want him to be disturbed while he slept but their daughter Misha would be ‘playful’ during that time of the day.
Mira narrated, “I completely get that he needs silence during those hours because it has been a tough night, but Misha is at her best at that time, wide awake and playful. Shahid wouldn’t say anything but I know its going to tire him and I know I can’t put too many restrictions on her either. That was getting to me at a point and that’s when I told him that I can’t take this anymore.”
In Padmaavat, Shahid essayed the role of Rajput ruler Ratan Singh and Deepika Padukone played his wife Padmavati. The film featured a compelling performance from Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khalji.
Shahid and Mira got married in July 2015. They became parents to daughter Misha in 2016 and their son Zain was born in September 2018.
