After presenting a disappointing trailer, the makers of ‘Bombay Velvet’ have now served the audiences with its first song ‘Fifi’ and true to name ‘Fifi’, the song is queer, queerly weird.

Watch the song:

Anushka Sharma nails her part of being the 60s’ Jazz singer, as her Rosie Noronha lip-syncs Geeta Dutt’s ‘Jaata Kahaan Hain Deewaane’ from the 1956 movie ‘CID’. The nailing part includes standing at the podium and singing, quite mechanically.

Ranbir Kapoor looks different as a street fighter, but the visuals of the song might rub onto the fate of the movie. We just hope it doesn’t become another ‘Besharam’ of his career.

The song also features actor Kay Kay Menon, last seen in ‘Haider’, in moustache.

Based on Gyan Prakash’s ‘Mumbai Fables’, ‘Bombay Velvet’ is slated to release by the mid of the year.
