War 2 ‘Aavan Jaavan’ making: Hrithik Roshan tells Kiara Advani, ‘khaana khao aur naacho’; sings ‘Dheere Dheere’ while rehearsing in Italy

Yash Raj Films has unveiled the making of "Aavan Jaavan," the first song from Ayan Mukerji's upcoming spy thriller War 2. The romantic song, featuring Kiara Advani and Hrithik Roshan, is shot across Rome and Tuscany in Italy.

A week after releasing the first song, “Aavan Jaavan”, from Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming spy thriller War 2, Yash Raj Films has now dropped the making of the film on its official YouTube channel. The video starts with the lead actors, Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, practising the popular hook step in a rehearsal hall of HRX, Hrithik’s athleisure brand.

The action then switches to the shoot in Italy. “We needed a backdrop to film this love song. It should be like this travel energy song, where two people are just in love and seeing the world together. So I was very happy when we finally selected Italy as the location of the song,” says Ayan, talking to the camera. A montage of the picturesque frames from Tuscany follows, with choreographer Bosco Martis heaping praise on the beauty of the landscape.

Hrithik is seen giving Kiara a pep talk right before the shot in which they cycle along the grasslands of Tuscany. While riding the bicycle, he even sings the popular romantic song “Dheere Dheere Se Meri Zindagi Mein Aana” from Mahesh Bhatt’s 1990 blockbuster musical romance Aashiqui. Interestingly, Hrithik featured in the 2018 rehash of that song, sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh.

Kiara is seen in awe of the Tuscany weather as she describes the experience of shooting her green swimwear sequence. “We’ve had just the right mix of sunshine and that lovely wind coming in. I just feel like staying back, and relaxing, chilling, and swimming in these thermal pools. It’s all dreamy and beautiful,” she says.

After wrapping the Tuscany schedule, the crew moves to Rome. “When I went into Rome, I felt we’ve to shoot against some of the iconic spots like the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. These were very difficult locations to film in and to get the permission for, but the stars really aligned. We shot at all of these places. We really feel proud of it,” says Ayan.

While shooting against the Colosseum, Hrithik is seen biting into a pizza as he grooves with Kiara. “Khana khao, naacho” (have food and dance),” he says in a candid behind-the-scenes moment. At the end of the video, Ayan calls it a schedule wrap. The cast and crew then celebrate by hugging each other and popping open a champagne bottle.

The romantic track is sung by Arjit Singh and Nikhita Gandhi while the music is composed by Pritam. The lyrics for the song are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song is filled with romance between the actors as they travel to different locations. Kiara stole the show with her stunning looks, while Hrithik, as usual, ruled the dance floor with his effortless hook step of the song “Aavan Jaavan.” The makers released the song on Kiara’s birthday on July 31.

War 2 is slated to release in theatres on August 14.
