Actor Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia are the new ‘it’ couple in Bollywood. The rumours of their relationship started doing rounds a year and a half ago after they were seen together at a New Year’s party in Goa. When their fans learnt that they would be sharing screen space in Lust Stories 2, they assumed that this might have been the start of their romance. However, Vijay recently clarified that the two did not start dating during the shoot of the film.
In an interaction with Tanmay Bhat on Netflix India’s YouTube channel, Vijay said that while he can call Lust Stories 2 their cupid, their real-life love story started much later. “Lust Stories was a cupid but it wasn’t during the shoot that we started dating. There was discussion of a wrap party happening but it never happened. So, we wanted to have a wrap party and only four people showed up,” Vijay said and added, “That day I feel I told her that I want to hang out more with you. It took 20-25 days for the first date to happen after that.”
Vijay and Tamannaah opened up about their relationship shortly before the release of Lust Stories 2. Tamannaah spoke about her relationship with Vijay in an interview with Film Companion and said that they bonded “very organically.”He is someone who came to me with all his guard down. Then, it became very easy for me to put all my guard down,” she said and added, “He’s a person who I care about deeply and yeah, he’s my happy place.”
Vijay was recently seen in Murder Mubarak and will next be seen in Mirzapur 3, Ul Jalool Ishq, Matka King. Tamannaah has Aranmai 4 and Vedaa in the pipeline.
