We finally have the release date of Vidyut Jammwal starrer film Junglee. It is all set for a Dussehra 2018 or October 19 release. This film is being directed by American director and screenwriter Chuck Russell, who is known for Hollywood films like A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, The Scorpion King, and The Mask. Junglee is apparently about a man, who we assume will be played by Vidyut Jammwal, and an elephant.
There is not much known about the film as yet but we do know that the film had some problems in production. Earlier, Rohan Sippy was supposed to direct the film, but for some unknown reason he was dropped and Chuck Russell was called to direct. Knowing Vidyut Jammwal, the film is going to have a lot of action and stunt work.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the information. “It’s Dussehra 2018 release for Vidyut Jammwal’s new movie #Junglee: 19 Oct 2018… Produced by Junglee Pictures, the action-adventure thriller is directed by Chuck Russell [known for #TheMask, #Eraser and #TheScorpionKing],” he wrote.
Vidyut Jammwal had posted his look for the film on September 5, 2016 when Rohan Sippy was still on board as its director. “Proud to be#JUNGLEE,” he had captioned the image. Junglee Pictures, the studio behind the film, had also made the announcement on the same day while mentioning Rohan Sippy. “Excited to announce our next @JungleeMovie starring @VidyutJammwal , directed by @rohansippy”
Back in July, Taran Adarsh had tweeted the decision to change of director too. “Junglee Pictures’ new movie titled #Junglee… An action-adventure about a man and an elephant… Stars Vidyut Jammwal… Starts Oct 2017…,” he had said.
