Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions have come together to co-produce Akshay Kumar starrer Gabbar and Mary Kom’s biopic,starring Priyanak Chopra.
Gabbar is a remake of a Tamil blockbuster Ramana to be directed by Krish of Vedam and Gam Yam fame. The Mary Kom Biopic is directed by Omung Kumar.
“We are pleased to partner with Sanjay Leela Bhansali,and proud to be add Gabbar and Mary Kom to our slate. This step reflects our belief in venturing boldly into associations with passionate,like minded partners to deliver great content,” said Ajit Andhare,COO,Viacom18 Motion Pictures.

Mary Kom went on the floor this week,while Gabbar is expected to go on floor later this year.
The upcoming releases of Viacom18 are Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,Madras Cafe,Queen and Boss.
