Actress Urvashi Rautela has given a rather dramatic spin to her stint at Cannes 2025. Making headlines at every step she took at the French Riviera, Urvashi has faced a generous amount of backlash and trolling. Once again, Urvashi Rautela has captured the attention of internet users with her latest picture featuring Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, in which she claims to have been called the Queen of Cannes by him.
Urvashi Rautela wrote in the caption, “When Leonardo DiCaprio calls you the Queen of Cannes! Thank you, Leo… now that’s a Titanic compliment.” As per a few media reports, this picture of Urvashi and Leonardo and the supposed compliment are from 2022, which she had shared earlier.
Many social media users refuse to buy her latest post. One of the users commented, “Does Leo know that he called you the Queen of Cannes??!!!” Another netizen asked, “Is he aware of your temple?” A third user also commented, “Did he compliment you for Daku Mahraj and dabdi dibdi…” One of the Instagram users also went to pointed out how Urvashi is the ‘First Indian actress’ to post the same picture with Leonardo again.
One of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s fans wrote, “Aishwarya has been at Cannes for 23 years and she never said this about herself. Dear Urvashi, if you are the one who is spreading this and not a member of your family, I want to tell you that you are only insulting yourself and the dignity of a real star is created by her love for herself so that everyone respects her and not by running after the spotlight and fame in a way that does not suit her. In the past years, you did not get upset, and this year you got upset, why? And I tell you that this is your account and not a fan account for you to behave in this way. Review yourself, you are only insulting your name.”
Orry also reacted to Urvashi’s photo and wrote, “What do u mean when he calls u queen of Cannes ??? U are the queen of Cannes, what else is he meant to you ?? Didi ?? Bhenjiii??? Urvashi Baiiii??” However, the comment was later deleted.
While Urvashi has been a part of the Cannes Film Festival for a few years now, this year, the actress seems to have stirred up a few controversies. On the second day of the festival, Urvashi’s torn outfit grabbed a lot of attention. Later, the actress was also trolled online for blocking an entire staircase at Cannes for a photoshoot.
