Tiger 3 actor Vishal Jethwa confesses he fumbled lines because of Salman Khan’s aura; Bhai said, ‘Hota hai…’

Mardaani 3 actor Vishal Jethwa said that if people think Salman Khan is intimidating and difficult to talk to, it is their problem and not the actor's.

Actor Vishal Jethwa was Salman Khan’s background dancer in 2009. More than a decade later, he got the opportunity to share the screen with the superstar in Tiger 3. But Vishal admitted in an interview that he was intimidated by Salman’s presence on the set, and fumbled his lines as a result. However, Salman maintained his calm and helped Vishal through it.

During a recent interview, Vishal said that if people think Salman Khan is intimidating and difficult to talk to, it is their problem and not the actor’s. He told Siddharth Kanan, “I will always take pride in saying that I have worked with Salman Khan. I like him not only on-screen, but off-screen as well. It’s fun to see him on a film set. Whenever he comes to the set, everyone stands up in respect. He is very cool with everyone. He is always up for a conversation.”

However, Vishal added, “It is your problem that you get intimidated by him either on the basis of hearsay or because you have seen the aura around him.” Vishal, too, was ‘scared’ to be on the same set as Salman. He was shooting for Tiger 3 on the same set where he shot Mardaani 3, but this time, he was not as relaxed with his dialogue delivery. “I never fumbled in Mardaani 3, but when it came to working with Salman, I couldn’t say a dialogue. But he was very calm despite multiple retakes. He is well-versed about the aura he carries and thus he was like, ‘Hota hai…’ Eventually, I got better and also had small conversations with him. I also shot for a fight sequence with him but it couldn’t be included in the final cut of the film,” Vishal said.

Tiger 3 had Salman reprising his role of the super-spy Avinash ‘Tiger’ Rathore. The film was released on the festival of Delhi to blockbuster response, but witnessed an immediate downward spiral. Despite big expectations, Tiger 3 has managed to earn only Rs 331 crore in India so far.
