Thamma advance booking: Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna starrer sees surge in ticket sales

Thamma advance booking: Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thamma, the latest film from the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, is all set to hit screens on October 21, with advance bookings opening on October 17. The film initially saw a lukewarm response, but by the second day of bookings, there was a notable spike in organic ticket sales. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Thamma has earned Rs 1.72 crore organically through ticket sales as of 12 pm on Sunday, while block bookings account for an additional Rs 5.16 crore.

Thamma is set to have 10,595 shows in India. The film’s Hindi version will have 10,184 2D shows, 103 IMAX 2D shows, and 101 4DX shows. The Telugu version will have 207 shows nationwide. According to reports, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer is expected to earn around Rs 30 crore on Day 1 at the Indian box office.

Despite being a festive release, Thamma’s ticket sales have been modest so far. As of 12 pm on Sunday, the film’s Hindi 2D version sold 58, 217 tickets, while the IMAX 2D and 4DX versions recorded 1,090 and 311 tickets, respectively. The Telugu version sold 1,123 tickets across formats.

So far, Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe boasts successful films like Stree, Stree 2, and Munjiya. However, Roohi and Bhediya didn’t perform as well at the box office.
