Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Collection Day 1: Bollywood fans were eager to see the return of actor Dhanush to a Hindi film after Aanand L Rai’s Atrangi Re in 2021. The same director has now given them the film Tere Ishk Mein, also starring Kriti Sanon. The romantic drama has started its theatrical run, and the opening day numbers appear to be quite promising. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 16.5 crore on its first day at the theatres.
This is definitely the positive start that the makers of the film would have been hoping for, as now the film is primed for a lucrative opening weekend. Kriti’s last stab at the box office came with Rajesh A Krishnan’s film Crew, also starring Tabu and Kareena Kapoor. Even with that firepower, the film earned Rs 9 crore on its opening day and finished its run with Rs 81 crore. Dhanush’s last film was his own directorial, Idly Kadai, which released only in Tamil and made Rs 11 crore on the first day.
However, Tere Ishk Mein is still trailing behind the Mohit Suri film Saiyaara, which exceeded everyone’s expectations at the box office. Starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the film earned Rs 21 crore on its opening day and went on to collect Rs 329 crore during its lifetime. Tere Ishk Mein has made more money than the surprise hit, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. The film minted Rs 9 crore on its opening day, which clashed with Maddock’s Thamma and went on to earn Rs 78 crore in India.
The occupancy rates for Tere Ishk Mein Hindi averaged out at 25.77%. The morning and afternoon shows saw 15.29% and 21.67% occupancy, while evening and night shows did better with 24.55% and 41.56%. The film also released in Tamil where the average occupancy was around 20.84%.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Tere Ishk Mein stars Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The music has been composed by AR Rahman, and the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil.
