The upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show is going to be one of the most memorable episodes of this season, and the credit goes to its guests — Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty. Recently, the teaser of the new episode landed on social media, which shows both the actors sharing unheard anecdotes from their lives, including once when both Suniel and Sanjay almost campaigned against Sanjay’s father, veteran actor and politician Sunil Dutt.
The teaser opens with Kapil welcoming them. Soon, Suniel recalls the time he was shooting for a film with Sanjay Dutt. He shared that after wrap-up, Sanjay would get into party mode while he would run away to his hotel. However, once Sanjay pursued him to his hotel as he wanted him to party with him. He said, “Inke saath shooting karna yani ki mein raat 8pm bhag jata tha (to shoot with him means that I would run away at 8-8:30 pm).” He added, “In Hyderabad he broke the hotel room’s gate at Taj. The whole door just fell.”
Sanjay defended himself and said, “Who sleeps at 8pm? I was showing my love.” Suniel laughed and replied, “Itna bhi pyaar nahi yaar.” The actor also shared how Sanjay Dutt calls him Aana but in different tones for different situations — like he would say Aana sadly when he was upset and sternly when he wanted to warn him. Meanwhile, Kiku Sharda joked about Suniel and Sanjay’s limited dancing skills.
When Kapil remarked that Sanjay had been naughty in childhood, Suniel quickly interrupted and said, “In childhood? His childishness hasn’t gone yet. Jaha Baba rehte hai kuch na kuch kand hota he hai (Where ever he is, some fiasco will happen).”
Suniel also recalled how once Sanjay Dutt almost campaigned for his friend, who was contesting elections from the opposition party against his own father, Sunil Dutt. Suniel said, “Sanjay agreed to campaign for the friend but later that night realised that that person is standing against his own father.” Responding to the same, Sanjay said, “I forgot yaar.”
Suniel added that he too was asked to campaign by the same person. “I went to campaign. Sunil Dutt later called me and asked me and said, ‘Beta think about me also.’ and I was thinking ‘your son didn’t think of you, so how could I think’.”
