Sonam Kapoor attends UK PM Rishi Sunak’s reception to celebrate UK-India week: ‘What a beautiful day’. See pics

Actor Sonam Kapoor says she was thrilled to be invited by the Prime Minister of United Kingdom Rishi Sunak for his reception to celebrate UK-India week 2023. The actor attended the reception on Wednesday and represented India and “its cultural influence globally”.

Sonam took to Instagram and posted pictures of herself in a Rohit Bal saree. She shared the pictures on her profile and wrote, “Representing in @rohitbalofficial for the reception at 10 Downing Street to celebrate UK india week. What a beautiful day and so happy I got to wear a sari in the gorgeous London summer.”

The actor’s entrepreneur husband Anand Ahuja commented “wiiiilldddd 😍😍” on her pictures, while her friend and Veere Di Wedding co-star Swara Bhasker wrote “stunner”. Sonam also shared a video with Anand from her car. “Don’t I have the handsomest date,” she said in the video posted on her Instagram story.

The reception was hosted by Rishi Sunam at his official residence and office in 10 Downing Street and was a part of India Global Forum’s flagship event UK-India week, which is being held from 26th June to 30th June in London.

On the work front, the actor will be next seen in the thriller Blind, co-starring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lilette Dubey. Directed by Shome Makhija, Blind will mark her return to films since her 2019 feature The Zoya Factor. Blind will stream on JioCinema.
