While Shatrughan Sinha has defended daughter Sonakshi Sinha's right to marry the 'boy of her choice', her brothers have refused to comment on her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal. When media had reached out to Luv ahead of Sonakshi's wedding, he had told ETimes, “I’m out of Mumbai at the moment, and if it’s regarding the news published, I have no comment or involvement in the matter”.

Actor Sonakshi Sinha's brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha didn't attend her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal. While her parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha were present, her brothers were conspicous by their absence. Their absence were noticed by the guests as well as the paparazzi. Their absence came on back of the rumours that Sinha family was not happy with Sonakshi's decision to marry Zaheer. Now, Luv Sinha refused to comment when HT reached out to him. “Please give it a day or two. I’ll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Thank you for asking,” Luv said.

New videos, emerged from Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding reception, show the couple shaking a leg to Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora's iconic Dil Se track, 'Chaiyaa Chaiyaa.'  Surrounded by their friends and family at the wedding bash, the couple stole the show with their unmatched energy and killer dance moves. Despite wearing a heavy bridal saree, Sonakshi left no stone unturned to match steps with Zaheer who led the guests on the dance floor. 

Actor Aayush Sharma attended Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal wedding reception with wife Arpita Khan and also penned a wish for the newlyweds. "Keep smiling and laughing forever," he wrote.

Huma was earlier spotted attending the wedding in an ivory outfit.

Sonakshi Sinha kept her wedding simple and stylish. The actor wore a red saree at her wedding reception that costs Rs 80,000, as per reports. Looking gorgeous in the saree with 'chand buti', she accessorised her look with vintage jewellery, sindoor, bindi and a gajra.

Son of Iqbal Ratnasi, a jeweller by profession, Zaheer Iqbal made his Bollywood debut in the 2019 film Notebook, where he portrayed the role of Captain Kabir Kaul. The film was directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Salman Khan Films and Cine1 Studios. Salman and Zaheer's father are childhood friends and the superstar has often spoken about their close bond.

The special message on the sweet boxes read, "Thank you for showering us with so much love, happiness and kindness on the most important day of our lives! Your support and wishes mean the world to us. Lots of love, Sonakshi and Zaheer."

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in a civil ceremony on Sunday at her residence. The ceremony was attended by families of bride and groom and their close friends. Sonakshi and her family also sent sweets for the paps and media stationed outside her building complex in Mumbai, 81 Aureate.

Sonakshi Sinha's close friend, actor Huma Qureshi, was seen leaving her building on Sunday evening. 

Shatrughan Sinha opened up on daughter Sonakshi Sinha marrying the boy of her choice. "44 years ago, Shatrughan Sinha married a very successful, very beautiful, very talented girl of his choice, Poonam Sinha. Now it is Sonakshi's turn to marry the boy of her choice," Shatrughan Sinha told Times Now.

Shatrughan Sinha answered how he was feeling as daughter Sonakshi Sinha married Zaheer Iqbal and their wedding will be celebrated by friends and family at a party today. "Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is given to her chosen groom. My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe," he told Times Now.
