Sonakshi Sinha says husband Zaheer asked if she wanted to live separately from in-laws, says she and mother-in-law can’t cook: ‘Tu sahi ghar pe aayi hai’

Sonakshi admitted that though she was asked about living separately from her in-laws before her marriage, she refused the idea. “Zaheer had asked me before marriage if I want to live separately from my in-laws, but I said no. I told him, ‘I will live with them; if you want to go, you go.’”

Speaking about her bond with Zaheer’s mother and how both she and her mother-in-law don’t know how to cook, Sonakshi shared, “I don’t cook at all. My mother cooks so well, and her only thing is that her daughter doesn’t know how to cook. My mother-in-law also doesn’t know how to cook, and she says that you got married in the correct house. She said, don’t worry, tu sahi ghar pe aayi hai. I’m fond of eating, but not cooking.”

Earlier, Sonakshi spoke about living with Zaheer and how it felt like living with her best friend. In conversation with Kareena Kapoor Khan on her talk show What Women Want, she had said, “Bohot pehle hi kar lena chahiye tha. It’s so fun. Aisa lag raha hai jaise maine apne best friend ke saath reh rahi hoon. It’s just so convenient, and ab mujhe ghar se waapas nahi jaana hota to come here and come there. So it’s very convenient that I am spending time with him, and it’s been really good.”
