Sobhita Dhulipala asked about rumoured boyfriend Naga Chaitanya and his ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu, reveals what she likes about them

Actor Sobhita Dhulipala is gearing up for the release of the second part of her web series The Night Manager. The first part was appreciated by the audience when it debuted in February. Sobhita has also been in the news for her rumoured relationship with actor Naga Chaitanya. A few months back, a picture of them from a restaurant had surfaced online, further adding fuel to the buzz. Now, Sobhita has reacted to questions about what qualities she appreciates in Chaitanya and his ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu, with whom he had an acrimonious split a couple of years ago.

Chaitanya and Samantha announced their separation in October 2021 through social media. They had requested privacy on the matter, and have only spoken about each other infrequently. In an appearance on Koffee with Karan last year, Samantha implied that she isn’t on good terms with him, and said that they cannot be left together in a room. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sobhita was given a list of names and asked to give her opinion on them.

When Samantha’s name popped up, Sobhita said, “I think her journey is super cool. Like, if you see her filmography, the way she can headline a project right now, I think that is really cool.”

Later, when she was asked what she likes about Chaitanya, she said, “I think his temperament, he seems like such a cool-headed, calm guy, so dignified. I really appreciate it.”

Upon the announcement of Samantha and Chaitanya’s separation, there were several reports about the reason behind it. Samantha was heavily targeted by trolls, who accused her of extracting money from Chaitanya. Although Samantha put up several cryptic posts over the following months, in one of her tweets, she asked people to grow up and stop targeting her.

She tweeted, “Rumours on girl – must be true!! Rumours of boy – planted by the girl!! Grow up guys..Parties involved have clearly moved on..you should move on too!! Concentrate on your work…on your families…move on!!”

The actor had also spoken about this during her appearance on Koffee with Karan, where she said, “I couldn’t really complain about it because I chose that path. I chose to be transparent and I chose to reveal a lot of my life. And when the separation happened, I couldn’t be too upset about it because they invested in my life and it was my responsibility to have answers, which I didn’t at that point of time.” She added that the phase was “hard” for her, but she is now “stronger” than ever before.
