The mehendi and sangeet ceremonies of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer-singer Palaash Muchhal were held on Saturday. The events were a star-studded affair, with several female cricketers, including Radha Yadav, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, and Arundhati Reddy, in attendance.
The wedding festivities on Saturday began with a vibrant haldi ceremony. Smriti’s teammates, Radha Yadav, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil and Arundhati Reddy shared glimpses from the event online.
Following the haldi, a friendly cricket match took place between teams led by the bride and groom. Soon after, multiple stunning videos from the sangeet night surfaced online.
During the sangeet ceremony, Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal performed a perfectly choreographed number together. In one widely shared clip, Smriti is seen placing a garland around Palaash’s neck, while he bows playfully before the Indian batter. The usually shy and reserved Smriti surprised everyone by owning the stage in a dazzling golden gown, dancing her heart out with her girls.

For her mehendi ceremony, Smriti Mandhana opted for a stunning purple traditional outfit, while Palaash Muchhal complemented her in a cream kurta paired with an embroidered jacket.

Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal’s romance reportedly began in 2019 after the two met through mutual friends in Mumbai. The couple kept their relationship private for several years before making it public in 2025.
Recently, Palaash revealed how he proposed to Smriti at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. He led a blindfolded Smriti onto the pitch, the very ground where India lifted the Women’s World Cup, and then went down on one knee with a ring.
Now, all eyes are on the much-awaited wedding. Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal will tie the knot today afternoon in Sangli, Maharashtra.
