Singham Again box office prediction day 1.Singham Again box office collection day 1 early report: Ajay Devgn film would hope to fire big time this Diwali.

Singham Again box office collection day 1 early report: It wasn’t as easy as trade thought it would be for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, the multi-starrer action drama which hit the screens on Friday, to take a fantastic lead at the box office over the other release of the week, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. According to early trade estimates, Singham Again led by Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor has taken a “good opening” but it needs to catch up quickly if it aims to clock in excellent numbers on opening day. As of now, Singham Again is set to be opening in the range of Rs 35-40 crore, depending on where the word of mouth of the film eventually lands.

The start of Singham Again, however, wasn’t great especially in comparison to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the horror comedy which is headlined by Kartik Aaryan. According to Box Office India, Singham Again has taken a good opening at the box office though it doesn’t match the with the budget and size of the film, which also features cameos by Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Tiger Shroff. The movie also has a special mid-credit scene featuring Salman Khan as Chulbul Panday, his iconic cop from Dabangg.

“More importantly the collections are behind Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in the early exchanges when it should have been ahead or actually had to be ahead…. Singham Again will beat Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Maharashtra, but the collections are not at the level you would expect from a Rohit Shetty film and Singham brand,” the report stated.

According to the tracker, Singham Again has taken a “huge lead” in Mumbai and is ahead even in Rajasthan and Odisha. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is ahead, so far, in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal circuits, where it is actually leading by a huge margin.

“Mumbai is a huge circuit with a huge contribution and Singham Again could come out Rs 4-5 crore better here and this sort of gap becomes hard to cover from the other circuits. Still even if Singham Again comes out ahead by 5-10% it is still advantage Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 as it’s a smaller film. Overall, it’s a good Diwali for the industry as the audiences has come out in good numbers and both films could get a 30 crore nett plus number….,” it said.

As of afternoon, Singham Again has netted Rs 16.27 crore at the box office, which is merely three crores more than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which stands at Rs 12.96 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Singham Again should have had a bigger lead, especially considering it has released on more screens than the Anees Bazmee directed film. The all-India show division ratio of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is 60:40.

Since most parts of the country celebrated Laxmi Puja on Thursday, Friday is a national holiday in most centers, which is what both the films would hope to benefit from. If Singham Again has to breach the Rs 40 crore mark, the film needs its evening shows to attract tremendous footfall, with night shows taking the collections to a higher level.
