After announcing the birth of their daughter, Sidharth Malhotra has taken to Instagram to request the paparazzi to respect their privacy and avoid clicking pictures of their newborn. He also thanked fans and the media for their best wishes and for being understanding during this special time.
Sidharth shared a note on his Instagram story that read, “We’re so grateful for all the love and wishes; our hearts are truly full. As we take our first steps into this new journey of parenthood, we hope to enjoy it intimately as a family. It would mean a lot to us if this special time could stay private. So, No Photos Please, Only Blessings! Thank you for your support.”
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra also distributed sweets to the paparazzi along with personal notes requesting them not to click pictures. Their note read, “Our baby girl is here! Just a little something sweet to celebrate this special moment. No pictures please, only blessings.”
In April, Sidharth had lost his cool at the paparazzi for hounding his pregnant wife Kiara Advani. A video that went viral showed paparazzi crowding around the couple’s car when they were visiting a doctor and attempting to click their photos. Reacting to their behaviour, Sidharth got visibly angry and said, “You guys start behaving now. One second, get back, get back! Behave yourself, yaar. You want me to get angry now? One second, boss! Behave yourself.”
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra now join a list of celebrities who have taken steps to ensure their children are not photographed by the media. These include couples like Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, and Rani Mukerji-Aditya Chopra.
Kiara and Sidharth tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on February 7, 2023.
