Shilpa Shetty recently completed 30 years in Hindi cinema as her debut film Baazigar celebrated its 30th anniversary. Also starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, and directed by Abbas-Mustan, Baazigar featured Shilpa in a role where her screen time was minimal, but her character left a huge impact on the audience. On Tuesday, Shilpa took to social media to mark her 30 years in the movies and wrote a special note for her Baazigar cast and crew.
Shah Rukh, who played Shilpa’s boyfriend who ends up killing up her, got a special mention in her post as the actor wrote, “@iamsrk… for being a true Baazigar and my one and only acting school😅Was your co-actor but your fan then, now, and forever♥️🤗” For Kajol, who played her sister in the film, she wrote, “@kajol… for befriending and (unknowingly) teaching me the art of being fearless🤗😘.”
Shilpa concluded he post by writing, “If I knew that getting thrown of a building would give me 30 years of longevity, I would happily get pushed again😅😂 After all, “Haar ke jeetne wale ko BAAZIGAR kehte hain!”❤️🔥”
During the trailer launch of her 2022 film Nikamma, Shilpa Shetty had shared what Shah Rukh Khan told her on the first day of Baazigar. She said, “I didn’t know Hindi then, my grammar is still not that good but I do work hard. I have learnt Urdu. I talk a lot in Hindi. My first shot was in a park with Shah Rukh Khan, before the song ‘Kitabe Bahut Si’. At that time, I would quickly say my lines and finish it off and not face the camera. So Shah Rukh would say ‘look at the camera, the camera is your audience and say the lines.'”
Shilpa was last seen in the Hindi film Sukhee.
