Shahid Kapoor has been in the film industry for over 20 years now, and even before he joined the industry, his father Pankaj Kapur had been a part of the movies, and was known as a very respected actor. Shahid has worked with his father in films like Jersey and Mausam, but now, the actor has said that he doesn’t want to work with his family.
In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Shahid said, “I don’t work with family, it’s not a good idea. Family and work should be dealt with separately; if they come together, it gets complicated. I would not want to work with them because their feelings would get hurt if I said something. So it’s better to keep it clean.”
In the same chat, Shahid also spoke about his mother Neliima Azeem and wife Mira Rajput and how they are the only ones who give him true feedback. “It’s always the women in your life, they let you know how good or bad you are and are pretty straight about it. My wife and mom are two people I listen to a lot, I trust them, if they say something that does not sound nice, I know they are saying it because I need to hear it,” he said.
He also shared how wife Mira really enjoys Jab We Met and teases him after every viewing. He shared, “Mira likes to watch me in Jab We Met, and every time she watches it, I get scolded for not being even 5 percent like Aditya from the film. So I tell her to be happy that I am not even 5 percent like Kabir Singh.”
Shahid will next be seen in Deva, which also stars Pooja Hegde.
