Shahid Kapoor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, was recently asked if there is a possibility of a Sandeep Reddy Vanga universe where lead characters from Kabir Singh and Animal meet up in Animal Park. Animal Park has been announced as the sequel to Ranbir Kapoor’s 2023 hit. Shahid had played the lead role in Kabir Singh. Both Vanga films have been widely criticised for being excessively misogynistic and violent.

Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Shahid said that he finds the idea of Animal’s Ranvijay and Kabir Singh coming together for Animal Park very unlikely but added, “Certain things are very exciting for the audience. Really… the ball is not in my court and it’s not so easy because I think the universes are quite different.”

Shahid said that while it would be great if materialised, but raised questions about the practicality of it. “If something like that happens, it would be great but is it practically possible? Is it doable? Who will write it? When will it happen? There are so many practical things that happen,” he said. Shahid also spoke about the second season of his Prime Video series Farzi and said that the audience does not realise that the makers have other things on their plate as well and hence, some things get delayed.

“Everyone’s asking me when is the next season of Farzi coming out and it is very difficult to explain it to them that the directors (Raj & DK) have two shows that they have written and they have to finish them and then they have to come back to write this. (The audience says) ‘They have not even started writing it? What’s wrong with them? They are so stupid. They should immediately make it. This is what people want to watch’. And I’m like… I wish it was that simple, but it’s not. But it’s a great thought. If the audience gets excited by that, I am happy,” he said. Farzi, which was Shahid’s OTT debut, ended up being the most watched OTT series of all time in India on a SVOD (subscription video on demand) platform.

Shahid will soon be seen with Kriti Sanon in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
