Before the release of his much-anticipated film Deva, Shahid Kapoor held a Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter), where he shared insights about the film and revealed details about his next project. In Deva, Shahid plays the role of a vigilante cop. During the session, he also named his favourite cop film and actors.
When a fan asked if Deva has three climaxes, Shahid chose not to answer directly, replying, “Kal pata chalega” (You will find out tomorrow). However, in response to another fan, he admitted that he was shocked after reading the post-climax of the film, calling it “very fresh.” He wrote, “Was shocked post climax. Found it very fresh.”
During his interaction, Shahid also announced his next film with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, marking their long-awaited reunion. He wrote, “The only the only Vishal Bhard. Back to the bard. Super excited.” The duo has previously collaborated on critically acclaimed films like Haider, Kaminey, and Rangoon, making this upcoming project highly anticipated.
The Kabir Singh actor also revealed his favourite cop film, naming Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Zanjeer. The 1973 film, which turned Amitabh into the ‘Angry Young Man’ of Bollywood, is regarded as a landmark in Indian cinema.
When a fan asked, “Aapka favourite contemporary actor kaun hai?” (Who is your favourite contemporary actor?), Shahid responded, “I love Hrithik and Ranbir.” Interestingly, both Shahid and Ranbir starred in filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh and Animal, respectively—films that proved to be turning points in their careers.
Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shahid shared his thoughts on the speculation surrounding a possible crossover between Kabir Singh and Animal, with Ranbir’s Ranvijay and his Kabir coming together for Animal Park. He admitted that while the idea excites audiences, he finds it unlikely, explaining, “The ball is not in my court, and it’s not so easy because I think the universes are quite different.”
