In the world of Bollywood, security is a top priority for celebrities. With the constant threat of stalkers, paparazzi, and overzealous fans, having a reliable bodyguard is essential. Yusuf Ibrahim, a renowned security consultant, has been providing protection to several A-list celebrities, including Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, since the early days of their careers.
Often, there have been reports circulating about the hefty salaries of celebrity bodyguards doing the rounds in the internet. Two names that often come up in conversations about celebrity security are Shera and Ravi Singh. Shera, whose real name is Gurmeet Singh Jolly, is famously known as Salman Khan’s bodyguard. Having served Salman for over two decades, Shera has earned a reputation for his loyalty, dedication, and professionalism. He even has his own security agency called Tiger Security. Ravi Singh, on the other hand, is known as Shah Rukh Khan’s personal bodyguard. He has become a trusted figure in SRK’s life, ensuring the star’s safety in public appearances and during his travels. Both Shera and Ravi Singh are respected for their unwavering commitment to the security of two of Bollywood’s biggest stars.
In a recent podcast, when Yusuf Ibrahim was asked about the rumored Rs 2.7 crore annual salary of Ravi Singh, he responded to Siddharth Kannan, “See, I told you, we don’t come to know how much someone is earning.” When probed further, he added, “Itna possible nahi hai (It’s not possible).”
However, when asked about Shera’s salary, reportedly Rs 2 crore per annum, Yusuf’s response was different. “See, Salman Khan’s Shera has his own business, he has his own security company. I think he has multiple businesses. So it is possible that he must be earning it.”
Regarding Akshay Kumar’s bodyguard, Shreysay Thele, who is reportedly paid Rs 1.2 crore annually, Yusuf said, “I don’t have his personal information. Calculate monthly — Rs 10 to Rs 12 lakh — it is possible, not possible too. Depends on what billing is going for your shoot or events or promotions. How much is your salary? All these things factor in. How many days a month your star is working, the billing depends on that! All these figures, I feel, just chaap diya hai kisine (someone has just randomly printed these figures).”
