Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently going through a dynamic phase in her career, characterised by performance-oriented roles in impactful films. One of Bollywood’s most celebrated actors, Kareena has collaborated with almost all superstars in the industry, including Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman Khan, and that too multiple times.
In a recent interview, Kareena discussed the distinctive work approaches of the three superstars, shedding light on the unique qualities that set them apart.
Heaping praise on Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena told Mid-Day, “(He is) The Shah of cinema in general. The emperor, the conqueror, everything that people have been saying I think is less for Shah Rukh.”
Regarding the work approaches of Salman and Aamir, Kareena pointed out that Salman consistently depends on his persona, personality and “super-duper stardom”. In contrast, she said, “Aamir is very focused. He just becomes that character. He gets obsessed and only thinks about his work.”
She also expressed deep affection for her parents, Randhir and Babita Kapoor, recognising their pivotal role in shaping both her and her sister Karisma Kapoor’s careers. “My mother was such a backbone to Karisma’s career,” Kareena added.
“He loves life, and living life a lot more. And a lot of that is my personality,” she recalled about her father.
Referring to a photo of her and Alia that went viral recently, Kareena said: “Everyone started messaging Karan (Johar). He asked why is everyone messaging him. I said the onus is on you now.”
Kareena was last seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s mystery thriller Jaane Jaan. She is currently working on Rajesh Krishnan’s The Crew, in which she will share the screen with Tabu and Kriti Sanon, and Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders.
