The Ba***ds of Bollywood actor Anya Singh recently opened up about the equation between Shah Rukh Khan and his manager, Pooja Dadlani, marked by their ability to communicate with each other even in silence.

Although she is not a public figure per se, there’s no way those who follow Bollywood closely won’t have heard of or seen Pooja Dadlani. Even if you failed to spot her in her blink-and-you-miss-it cameo appearances in Om Shanti Om (2007) and Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017), just check out almost any photo or video of Shah Rukh Khan in public; you’ll mostly always spot her right next to him. The long-time manager of Bollywood’s Baadshah, Pooja was most recently seen in the trailer of SRK’s son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut venture The Ba***ds of Bollywood as well.

Actor Anya Singh, who plays a key role in the upcoming satirical series, recently opened up about what she has observed in the equation between the superstar and his manager, marked by their ability to communicate with each other even in silence. Interestingly, in the show, Anya plays Sanya, who works as the manager to the central character of superstar Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya Lalwani) — much like Pooja’s role in Shah Rukh’s life. At the show’s trailer launch last month, the superstar had, in fact, jokingly shared that both Sanya and Pooja were quite “one-sided”, bossing around their respective stars.

“I got to interact with Pooja ma’am much later on and not from the beginning. But what I love about their equation is that it’s like family. I wish, at some point, I could be Pooja Dadlani only because she gets to spend all her time with Shah Rukh sir. I would love to be in her position. They have a really nice equation between them,” she shared during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan.

When asked what the hallmark of their relationship was, Anya added, “She’ll sometimes look at SRK and he’ll know that time’s up. They understand each other so well, probably because they have spent so much time together. A lot of their conversations happen through expressions. That’s possible only if you know someone truly.” In The Ba***ds of Bollywood’s trailer, Pooja makes an appearance towards the end with Shah Rukh and his bodyguard Ravi Singh.
