The King is returning. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited Jawan will finally have its grand trailer launch, before the actioner releases worldwide on September 7. After carefully guarding the film’s materials–with only a prevue that was launched in July–the makers have locked the date for its trailer.
Shah Rukh, who returns to screens months after the historic success of Pathaan, will be seen in a double role of a father and son in Jawan, which marks the first collaboration between him and Atlee, known for Tamil hits with Vijay like Theri, Mersal and Bigil.
According to trade sources, Jawan’s trailer will be out on August 31– six days before the film sees a wide-scale release. The heavily anticipated trailer is likely to kick off the advance booking for the film in India.
The trailer will be Jawan’s fifth visual asset after its prevue, first song “Zinda Banda”, the romantic number “Chaleya” and the third song, “Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya”. Jawan’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The film also features an ensemble led by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra and Sunil Grover among others. It also features Deepika Padukone in a special appearance.
Backed by Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan has been written and directed by Atlee, with Hindi dialogues penned by Sumit Arora. The movie is scheduled to release on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
