Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who hosted the recently concluded IIFA 2o24 along with actor Vicky Kaushal, joked about all his possible international projects, which came to him, but he turned them down. He made the quips at the awards gala in Abu Dhabi.
On stage during a cheeky segment, SRK quipped that he gets offered almost every film that gets made, including in Hollywood. When co-host Vicky Kaushal asked if the star was offered his favourite film Avengers, Shah Rukh had a witty reply.
“I was but I didn’t do it. The infinity gauntlet stone is in Salman’s wrist (the bracelet). But he just doesn’t give me! I have asked him several times, that bhai give it to me, but he says no!” Vicky then asked if he was ever offered Steven Spielberg’s classic Jurassic Park, to which the actor replied, “It would have been awkward if I told the dinosaur, ‘palat, palat, palat.'”
Then Vicky Kaushal asked him why did he not take up the role of Marvel superhero Spider-Man. “Aey, lallu! He wears a mask; my dimples would’ve been hidden! So what was the point?” Shah Rukh said as the audience cheered for him.
Shah Rukh Khan hosted the IIFA Awards for the first time, and clips of the ceremony soon went viral. From doing Pushpa’s dance moves, to engaging in a fun banter with Karan Johar, Shah Rukh became the highlight of the night– to no one’s surprise.
After a blockbuster 2023 with three films back to back, Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, Shah Rukh is gearing up to start his next, King. The Sujoy Ghosh directorial pairs him with daughter Suhana Khan and will go on floors in January.
