Shah Rukh Khan marked 31 years in the film industry with an AskSRK session. In his trademark witty style, he addressed his career, life and how he handles negativity. Shah Rukh debuted with Deewana alongside Rishi Kapoor and the late Divya Dutta in 1992.
Shah Rukh responded to a fan who said he wanted to smoke a cigarette with him. “Sath me cigarette pine chaloge kya @iamsrk sir (Will you smoke a cigarette with me)?” The actor replied, “Main apni buri aadatein akele hi karta hoon (I keep my bad habits to myself).”
The actor also spoke about how he handles negativity. ” “Negativity & Positivity have the simplest two terms to get over. Sorry u didn’t like wot I do… thank u for appreciating wot I do. And then move on don’t dwell on either.”
Another fan who referenced Shah Rukh’s look from Jawan and asked whether people should sport bandages while watching the film, Shah Rukh said, “Nahi beta jawan ke din jawani ke josh mein theater pe jaana hai!” He also gave an update about Jawan teaser: “It’s all ready getting other assets in place. Don’t worry it’s all in a happy place…#Jawan”.
When asked “a big difference” he has spotted throughout the years, Shah Rukh said, “Too many people with too many views….has become more difficult to find you voice in the white noise!”
The actor’s second release of the year, Jawan, is set to hit theatres on September 7. He earlier tasted immense success with Pathaan that went on to emerge as the biggest hit of the year.
