Shah Rukh Khan calls Vicky Kaushal one of the finest actors he has worked with: ‘You will feel a lot of love for him in Dunki’

“Vicky is a great friend. I personally feel he is one of the finest actors I have worked with. When you watch him in Dunki, you will feel a lot of love for him. He has done really, really well and I got to learn from him actually,” Shah Rukh said.

Dunki, set to release on December 21, also marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Rajkumar Hirani, who wanted to work with the superstar in Munna Bhai MBBS and 3 Idiots but the projects didn’t materialise.

During the event, when asked to talk about Rajkumar Hirani, Shah Rukh said, “The best director in the country, we all love him, respect him and we need to give the love back because he gives us so much love through his cinemas.”

Dunki is also the first time that Shah Rukh will be seen working with Taapsee, who had earlier starred in his production Badla. When asked about her, Shah Rukh said, “She is a wonderful actress, her name reminds me of Paneer, because of Pannu! She is a lovely actress and a wonderful person to work with.”

Dunki, the third film of the year of Shah Rukh after Pathaan and Jawan, is following a similar publicity campaign witnessed this year for the superstar— an event in Dubai, no media engagements back in the country and timely #AskSRK sessions on X (formerly Twitter).

Dunki has opened its advance bookings for its Thursday release, which it’ll hope will benefit it with word of mouth as it enters the big Christmas holiday weekend along with the other biggie, Prabhas fronted actioner Salaar.
