Shah Rukh Khan calls cinema his home as PVR INOX launches a specially curated film festival to celebrate his birthday

To celebrate Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday, PVR INOX is launching a specially curated film festival featuring some of the superstar’s most iconic films for fans to enjoy on the big screen.

As Shah Rukh Khan turns 60 next month, PVR INOX, one of India’s largest cinema chains, is set to celebrate the superstar’s milestone birthday with a special film festival showcasing some of his most iconic movies. The line-up includes Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, which SRK has often described as his personal favorite, along with his collaborations with Farah Khan, Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. The festival will also feature Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s tragic Devdas, Mani Ratnam’s hauntingly poetic Dil Se, and Jawan, the recent megahit for which SRK won his maiden National Award.

Speaking about the celebration, Shah Rukh said, “Cinema has always been my home, and seeing these films find their way back to the big screen feels like a beautiful reunion. These movies are not just my stories, they belong to the audience that have lovingly embraced them over the last 33 years. I am grateful to PVR INOX for celebrating this journey with such love, and to Red Chillies Entertainment, my creative home, for always believing in stories that connect us all. I hope everyone who comes to watch relives the joy, the music, the emotions, and the magic of cinema that we’ve shared together.”

The two-week-long festival will run across more than 30 cities and 75 cinemas, starting October 31.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in King. The Siddharth Anand directorial also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Varma. It is also believed that the first look of King will be unveiled on SRK’s 60th birthday.
