After her divorce from Sohail Khan, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives star Seema Sajdeh moved to Worli with her younger son Yohan. They left their house in Bandra, which was a walk across the street from Sohail’s home. The move didn’t go down well with both her kids, as well as her close friend Maheep Kapoor. In an episode of the Netflix show, Seema expressed regret about her decision and revealed that Yohan spends most of his time in Bandra at his dad’s place, and not with her in Worli.
In the show, Maheep Kapoor complains to Neelam Kothari about Seema’s decision to move away. She said, “She shifted to Lower Parel, I told her not to. I said, ‘You know your friends are here, your work is here, Nirvaan has come back from America, he is across the road from you. Your child is here.’ I just don’t get the need for her to run away so far.”
In another episode, Seema’s older son, Nirvaan, complained to his mother about the move. He said, “I feel like you being in Bandra was across the street. It was a walk across the street. We were a lot more accessible to you. You were a lot more accessible to us. We would be able to see you on a daily basis.”
To this, Seema replied, “I honestly thought that moving into this building with more kids, and more people, Yohan would have… you know how it is, Yohan didn’t have very much to do. Here, he has got more activities to do.” Talking to camera, Seema confessed, “So, after my divorce, I decided to move to Worli. It was a fresh start for Yohan and me. I thought it would be good for him. But, things didn’t pan out the way I thought. And he decided to spend more time in Bandra.”
During the same conversation, Nirvaan said to his mother, “All his friends are in Bandra. His life has been in Bandra.” To this, Seema repliesd, “I know, he makes me drive to him all the time.”
“Exactly, there’s no point. Ultimately, you want your friends around, your family around, your comfort,” said Nirvaan.
In the same conversation, Seema also spoke about her divorce, and Yohan’s reaction to it. “Post getting divorced, I did not think that Yohan would react the way he has reacted to me.” To this, Nirvaan adds, “Your divorce was out publicly. And it happened at a time when he probably didn’t even know the term ‘divorce’. So while it’s happening, he is probably learning everything. I have seen him, he used to search up the definition of divorce and what it is. It hit him, it’s all very new to him.”
He continued, “Now that you have moved to Worli, it becomes very tough for us to migrate here to there. You have probably seen we don’t see you as often. We have grown up in that house. Yohan was born in that house. That house has got memories. We have got comfort in that house.” Seema asked, “So what now? Do you want me to come back?” Nirvaan quickly replied, “You should come back.”
At the end of the season, Seema returns to her house in Bandra, where she introduces her new love interest Vikram, the man she was engaged to before eloping with Sohail Khan in 1998.
