Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee with Karan’ has returned with its eighth season, and the initial two episodes have paved the way for yet another celebrity-packed season. The latest episode featured Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan. The duo opened up about their friendship and Ananya even revealed the ‘wild’ side of Sara.
Ananya said that at 3 am, Sara took her to Chowpatty following a party. Nevertheless, upon their arrival, they encountered a police officer who was stationed there. Sara, who got out of the car, tried to convince the officer by saying, “Look, Ananya Panday is sitting in the car,” even though the officer clearly recognised her. The Dream Girl 2 actor then said that they had a wonderful time at the beach. Ananya added, “She has taken me and we have run into the water at 3 in the morning.” When Karan asked Sara why she said, “look Ananya is sitting in the car,” Sara replied, “I was just trying to be funny. What am I going to say?”

Karan also grilled Sara over her recent statement where she said, “I don’t have a single pair of designer clothing in my wardrobe.” Karan asked, “You don’t believe in carrying designer bags?” He then questioned her about her airport looks and enquired if she is doing this to make an impact or is this really her?
Sara said that she will give an honest answer and said, “It’s a combination of a couple of things. Firstly, I want to just clarify that I do have designer bags and shoes. I don’t believe in wearing designer clothes and I also find it a bit ridiculous. Honestly, it’s a lot and I don’t believe in it. Having said that I don’t do it to come across as relatable but maybe what I need to be aware of is that I am an actor. I have a good amount of followers on Instagram. It is important because I am putting myself out there. So perceptions are key. What I should be careful of is that I should not come across as lazy.”
Ananya also recalled how Karan grilled her for not brushing her hair before heading to the airport. Karan reacted to the same and said, “You looked like a certified mess.”
