Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is a success story despite criticism that plagued the film for being sexist and purporting toxic masculinity. With the movie collecting more than Rs 835.9 crore at the worldwide box office, Sandeep and producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series have decided to turn Animal into a franchise. On Tuesday, T-Series said that the duo will team up for the sequel of Animal titled Animal Park, Prabhas’ Spirit, and Allu Arjun’s yet-untitled film.
The post read, “It’s a partnership built on trust, fueled by creative freedom, and fortified by an unbreakable bond. Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director #SandeepReddyVanga unveil the next cinematic wonders—Prabhas’ Spirit, Animal Park, and an Allu Arjun saga—the chapters that follow the monumental success of Kabir Singh and #Animal.”
Sandeep Reddy Vanga cited the complete cooperation of producer Bhushan Kumar as a key factor to the success of Animal. He said, “The kind of freedom he gives in terms of my creativity and the liberty to choose any song makes me feel at home at T-Series, and there is nothing more than that a director needs.” The director added that he was not worried about the budget and it didn’t even bother him during the making. He added, “I realized after the movie was made that we never discussed the budget.”
It looks like Sandeep Reddy Vanga will join hands again with Ranbir Kapoor for the sequel of Animal. The climax of Animal hints that the character Aziz, who is a professional butcher, will be avenging the death of his brother Abrar. Aziz now looks like Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor) after a plastic surgery on his face. On top of that, he looks more menacing. Animal has been called out for being unnecessarily violent, and one can only imagine how the sequel is going to be.
