Salman Khan says he has troubled his parents a lot: ‘Voh jhel rahe hain’

Salman Khan has been surrounded in court cases and controversies for many years now. The actor acknowledged that he has troubled his parents a lot.

Salman Khan has been in many controversies over his long career at the movies and many of these controversies have threatened his reputation and stardom, but Salman has been through it all and has managed to hold onto his stardom. Salman’s father, veteran writer Salim Khan, has stood by his son through the many court cases and controversies and Salman has acknowledged his father’s blessings on many occasions.

During his recent appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Salman was asked about his signature closing line where he speaks about not troubling one’s parents. He shared his line, “Don’t trouble your mata-pita and Bharat mata. Bharat mata ki jai.” He shared that he says this because he actually believes in it.

“I say that because I believe in that. It has come from personal experience because I have troubled my parents a lot,” he said and added, “It is a good thing that my father is known as Tiger, and Rambo, and my mother is known as Gabriel shock absorber. Voh jhel rahe hain… Unhone jhel lia hum paancho ko (They have been putting up with it, they have put up with all five of us).” Salman was speaking about himself and his siblings.

He said that a lot of parents might not be able to cope up with the troubles and thus, the kids should not put them in such a difficult position. “If you are troubling your parents, you are basically troubling yourself,” he said.

During a recent appearance on Arbaaz Khan’s show on Bollywood Bubble, Salim Khan said that he always knew Salman would become a superstar but was also well aware that “if anyone can harm, it is Salman himself.” He said, “When I saw his first film toh mujhe yeh laga ki iske andar star qualities hain 100 percent magar yeh bhi sath sath tha ki main iski nature ko bhi janta tha. He never took anything seriously. He has got all the potential. Toh mujhe laga yeh 100 percent ban jayega star aur agar isko nuksan poncha sakta hai koi toh yeh khud hi hai (When I saw his first film, I knew that he had all the qualities of a star but I also knew his nature. He never took anything seriously. He has all the potential. I knew he would become a star 100 percent and if anyone can harm, it is Salman himself).”
