Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, along with his sister Alvira Khan, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him to his sister Arpita Khan’s wedding, that’s set to happen on November 18 in Hyderabad.
Reports also say that the invite can be for the wedding reception which will happen in Mumbai on November 21.
As can be seen in the picture, Salman and Alvira presented the Prime Minister with a white bag that carried the invitation card. The image was posted on a specially created account on Instagram by the name of ‘AA_WEDDING’. The account has been especially created to keep the fans and followers updated of the pictures from Arpita Khan’s wedding.
This move might be due to the fact that the photographers have decided to boycott the wedding ceremonies owing to some differences that occurred between them and Salman Khan a while ago.
The actor had also met PM Modi in New Delhi on November 6. Salman was in the national capital for the shooting of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ with Kareena Kapoor.
The Prime Ministers Office also posted on their Twitter handle about the meeting.
The ‘Dabbang’ Khan met Modi at his official residence at 7, Race Course Road (RCR). It’s still not clear as to what was the motive of the meeting, but it’s reported that Salman invited the Prime Minister for his sister’s Arpita’s wedding, then only.
The duo has been on friendly terms since the start. Salman and his father, Salim Khan were invited to the swearing in ceremony of the Prime Minister. Also, Modi, while launching the cleanliness drive on October 2, had nominated Salman among nine personalities for carrying forward the campaign. Salman himself participated in one of the cleanliness drives, for which Modi praised him.
Looks like, Arpita Khan’s wedding is going to be one big bash with a list affluent personalities from all walks of life – from filmstars and sportspersons to politicians.
