Actor Ananya Panday’s cousin Alanna Panday recently tied the knot with her longtime partner Ivor McCray. Ever since the wedding, the two have been sharing updates from the wedding celebrations. Another behind-the-scenes video was shared on the couple’s YouTube channel recently, where we got a glimpse of how the bride and groom’s side were feeling on the special day. At one point, Alanna’s mother Deanne got emotional and said her daughter became self-sufficient at a fairly young age.
“Alanna started earning her money from 17-18, by the time she was 21, she stopped taking money from us. She would buy us gifts, and by 22 she was self-sufficient. To see her like that, how she manages her life… she was four years in London and two years in LA. As an Indian parent and mom, you worry a lot about your child, so I used to think about what she is eating,” the mother recalled in an emotional moment as she wiped away her tears.
In another funny bit, groom Ivor was seen getting ready in his pristine white sherwani and white pagdi (turban). However, he was not very happy about how tight the headgear was and could be heard saying, “I feel like I have had a face lift, mixed with a head massage. I might pass out.”
In the latter half of the clip, various celebrities could be seen hob knobbing with the couple. At one point, a cheerful Rekha blessed the newlyweds, but before giving Ivor a hug, she made sure to ask for his permission first: “Can I give you a hug? God bless you, welcome to the family.” And later when Ivor requested her to join them on the dance floor, she joked, “No, I don’t know how to dance.”
Other celebrities who could be seen enjoying the wedding bash included names such as Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Jackie Shroff among others.
