Actor Ranveer Singh is rooting for wife Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film Fighter. As the trailer released on Monday, several celebrities took to social media to praise Deepika and Hrithik Roshan’s patriotic saga. Ranveer too joined the bandwagon with his comment on the trailer posted by Deepika.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter sees Deepika and Hrithik lead the cast as they play the role of fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force. Deepika posted the trailer and was bombarded with plethora of comments from fans. Amongst them, Ranveer’s comment stood out as he wrote, “ABSOLUTE FIRE!!!! What a trailer!!!! Stunning!!!! I’m gobsmacked!!!!! All the best Team fighter.”

Several fans commented on Ranveer’s message, sharing the same sentiment about Fighter’s trailer. A follower wrote, “Man that’s all of us rn”, while another fan requested, “sir Hrithik ke liye kuch? (Sir, anything about Hrithik?)”.
Fighter also stars Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover in pivotal roles. Karan’s wife, actor Bipasha Basu also supported the film, as she posted the trailer in her Instagram stories and complimented Siddharth. Bipasha wrote, “Stunning Trailer @s1danand. Waiting for 25th Jan. All the best team Fighter. Durga Durga.”

The film’s trailer shows a batch of fighter pilots, who take the fight to the skies. It also has references to Pulwama attack and mentions ‘India-occupied-Pakistan’. The trailer was received positively by the audience except for a section of them, who considered the India-Pakistan theme as done-to-death by Bollywood. Fighter is releasing on January 25, exactly an year after Siddharth Anand’s Shah Rukh Khan- starrer blockbuster, Pathaan. It is produced by Viacom 18 and Marflix.
