Ranveer Singh celebrates 10 years of Ramleela by sharing unseen BTS photos with Deepika Padukone: ‘Changed our lives’

On Koffee with Karan, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone shared that they were “inseparable” during the shoot of Ram-Leela as they spent all their time with each other. He recalled that during a kissing scene in the film, when a brick came through the window, as it was supposed to, they were “oblivious” to it as they were quite into each other. He also shared that Kareena Kapoor was supposed to do the film at one point, but when she backed out, he suggested Deepika’s name for the part as he had just seen her in Cocktail.

He recalled a lunch at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s home where he was sitting next to Deepika as they had crab for lunch and a piece of crab meat got stuck in her teeth. He shared, “I said you got something on your teeth, she said clean it.” For him, the “moment of spark” happened right there.

During a recent interview with Jist, their co-actor Gulshan Devaiah also recalled witnessing their love story during the filming of the movie. “I didn’t see the spark between them in the beginning. I think he was really into her. After around 25 days of the Mumbai schedule when we went to Udaipur, I was like, ‘What? When did this happen?’ I think he was really serious about her, but in my head, I was like, ‘Na, she isn’t falling for him.’ Sorry Ranveer. But they are together now.”
