Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna are busy with the promotions of their film. The stars recently graced the singing reality show Indian Idol 14’s stage and were in awe with the talents they got to meet. While we have already seen a video where Ranbir and Rashmika made singers Kumar Sanu and Shreya Ghoshal dance to Pushpa’s hit song ‘Saami Saami’, in another clip from the show, Ranbir touched contestant Menuka Poduel’s feet after he was mesmerised by her performance.
The contestant — who is visually impaired and hails from Nepal — sang Ranbir Kapoor’s song ‘Agar Tum Saath Ho’ on the Indian Idol 14’s stage. Both Ranbir and Rashmika were impressed by the contestant’s talent and post her performance they went on the stage to meet her. Ranbir introduced himself to her and touched her feet. The actor was clearly moved by her talent.
Ranbir went on to say that when the acclaimed singer Shreya Ghoshal would have sung for the first time on any stage, the audience must have felt the same magic. Ranbir called Shreya as ‘Devi’, and gave the title of ‘Devi number 2’ to the contestant Menuka Poduel.
In the same episode, when the Indian Idol 14’s contestant Menuka asked Ranbir about the songs he sings to Raha, Ranbir said, “Do gaane hai, ek to English song hai thoda irritating sa, ‘Baby Shark Do Do Do Do’ and ‘Lalla Lalla Lori’.”
In another clip from the show, Indian Idol 14 contestant Utkarsh Ravindra Wankhede was seen singing Animal song Satranga and his perfomance impressed Rashmika Mandanna who said, “What talent, you are so gifted.”
Sandeep Reddy Vanga has directed Ranbir and Rashmika’s film Animal; it also stars Anil Kapoor. The movie is set to release across multiple languages on December 1.
