Ranbir Kapoor is ‘a star who can act’, Alia Bhatt never ‘brags’ about her ‘humongous’ social media following: Pooja Bhatt

Pooja Bhatt said that despite being immensely popular, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have never bragged about it.

Actor Pooja Bhatt, who is currently a contestant on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show, Bigg Boss OTT season 2, spoke about her half sister Alia Bhatt and her actor-husband, Ranbir Kapoor. She said, that despite being immensely popular, Alia and Ranbir have never bragged about it.

Pooja, during a conversation with her fellow contestants, Avinash Sachdev and Jad Hadid, shared how Abhishek Malhan and Jiya Shankar were boasting about their huge social media following in front of her. In response, Pooja told them about Alia’s fan following on social media. “I told them, meri behen ka jo followers ka number hai na, population of some countries is not that high (The number of followers my sister has…) My sister Alia Bhatt has humongous followers, and it’s not something she brags about ever. That is followers,” said Pooja.

Alia Bhatt has 78.4 million followers on Instagram. On Twitter, she is followed by 21.7 million people. Ranbir Kapoor is not on any social media platform, officially.

Pooja added about Ranbir, “He is not on social media. He is a star in the real sense of the word. He is an actor. He is a star who can act, that’s a rare combination.” The Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin star was also upset with Abhishek and Jiya for assuming that Ranbir has ‘fake’ accounts on social media.

“They said he has made a fake account. I said, ‘acha aapko pata hai?’ They said, ‘haan, he said maine fake profile banaya tha taaki main sabke baare mein padh sakta hun.’ (Yes, he said he has made a fake profile to know everything about others). They have information about everyone,” said Pooja.

Earlier, Ranbir’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar‘s co-actor Shraddha Kapoor had hinted about his fake social media profile during the promotion of the film. Shraddha had a fun interaction with Alia Bhatt during which she asked Ranbir to stop using Alia’s account and come from his own account. Replying to her post, Alia wrote, “Hahaha good luck making that happen my fellow fishy.” To which the Aashiqui 2 actor reacted, “Bohot ho gaya! Chal iske (real) fake id ko expose karte hai.”
