The fantasy team app Dream 11 seems to be making all the right choices when it comes to advertising and marketing with their new series of ads featuring two of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan. In the latest ad, Aamir takes Ranbir through a rapid-fire round and tricks the Animal actor into calling himself Ranbir Singh.

Aamir asks, “Name a famous Indian wrestler,” to which Ranbir answers, “Dara Singh.” The next question is, who is called the ‘Flying Sikh’ and Ranbir quickly responds with Milkha Singh. Ranbir gives the answer Rocket Singh with a big smile on his face when Aamir asks him, “Teri salesman wali movie konsi hai? (In which movie do you play a salesman?)” Just like a bowler sets up a batsman with three outswingers only to follow up with an inswinger, Khan’s next question is “Tera naam kya hain?” and without thinking, he says Ranbir Singh.

The two seem to be in a verbal ‘feud’ since Aamir accidentally called the Tamasha actor, Ranbir ‘Singh’, in the previous ad. When the Indian wicketkeeper/batsman Rishabh Pant asked Aamir to request Ranbir for an autograph, the former displayed pettiness and said the wrong name. Ranbir followed this by telling Aamir to retire since he has turned 60, calling him old and senile. While all this was happening, stars of the Indian cricket team were enjoying the free entertainment from the background. The ad also had a series of Bollywood actors making appearances, including Jackie Shroff, Arbaaz Khan and Suniel Shetty.

Fans reacted positively to the ad, with one saying, “These ads are too good, and the chemistry between Aamir and Ranbir is too good.” while another responded with a request saying, “I really want Ranbir to work with any of the Khans.” One would think that after all his experiences with rapid-fire rounds, Ranbir would do better than this.

This doesn’t mark the first collaboration between Aamir and Dream 11. He has appeared in a previous ad series for them alongside his 3 Idiots co-stars R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi.
