Shilpa Shetty‘s husband and entrepreneur Raj Kundra, on Monday, announced the release date of his upcoming film UT69 with a hilarious video featuring filmmaker Farah Khan and stand-up comedian and rapper Munawar Faruqui. Raj also announced that the film is based on a true story, and he’s helmed and acted in the film as well.
Taking to Instagram, Raj shared the video and captioned it: “Thank you @farahkhankunder @munawar.faruqui But it’s time for the ‘INSIDE’ story! UT69 releasing in theatres 3rd November 2023 🎭🙏🧿 @UT69Movie #UT69 #BasedOnATrueStory.” Watch the video here:
In the video Farah is seen saying that she’s called for a press conference to announce that she’s not made the film, which is actually directed by Raj Kundra himself. She and Munawar also announced that the film will star Raj. UT69 will apparently hit cinema halls on November 4.
While neither Raj, nor Farah have spilled the beans on the nature of the film, it is being reported that the film will be based on Raj’s life. Shilpa Shetty, who was recently seen starring in Sukhi along with Kusha Kapila, was one of the first people to react the the video and pour love on her husband’s project. Taking to the comments section of Raj’s post, Shilpa wrote, “Intezaar hai 3rd November ka #ut69 😍⏰.”
Raj made headlines a couple of years ago when he was arrested by Mumbai Police for allegedly distributing porn films through an app. Last year, the Supreme Court granted him anticipatory bail in this case.
